Abstract:
In ancient Greece gods were omniscient and sorrow less, enjoying their eternal life, while humans were confined to a life of mere opinion, always threatened by death. However, in spite of this, or rather because of this, Greeks aspired for divine knowledge and inquired into how to attain happiness. This course is an introduction to philosophical exploration of Greek thinkers, especially of Plato, conducted through writing by means of the newly invented devise of the alphabet, so that students can learn something about the importance of:

1) Inner, other, and outer focus in serendipitous exploration
2) Chunking and prioritizing
3) Developing one's thought in a clearly visible form
