Abstract:
This lecture will deal with the concepts of resilience in cities and technologies realizing the resilience.
He will talk about threats to cities such as natural disasters, and touch on some key concepts to realize resilient societies such as continous monitoring the city situations, collaboration between different types of stake holders, and sustainability of the scheme. Further, I will describe some important IT technologies to support the concept "resilient society."
These technologies include emergency operation center, weather prediction, traffic simulation, social analytics, and information archive.
