The skill of developing a good grant application is one of key skills of professional life. The grant application is a combination of an attractive research proposal with an appealing budget explanation. The grant application could show a way to create an international network of professionals. The speaker would like to share his experience as a reviewer of grant application of various sorts. The speaker will point out a strong similarity between TV commercials and grant applications.

BIO
The speaker is interested in the nineteenth century development of legal theory both in Europe and Japan. He taught legal theory, legal history, law & economics, law and information technology and so forth. The speaker's team got involved in the development of "Japanese Law Translation" database system by the Ministry of Justice.
