International Small Satellite cooperation via QB50 and Development direction(Student-organized Events )

Recently, development of small satellites is advancing due to increasing demand. Despite its short history, the merits of small satellite including low cost, short development schedule, and wide range of application, attract many engineers and scientists as well as companies.QB50 project is gathering attention by successfully utilizing the merits of small satellites. For this project, fifty 2U-size (10x10x20 cm) satellites will be launched to altitude 600km orbit to survey upper atmosphere. This mission is made possible with the cooperation of 25 countries.Mr.Jihyun Park, who is invited to this seminar, is a small satellite expert and the leader of the Korean group participating in the QB50 project. He will talk about space system of QB50. And his colleague Junhwi Bak will talk about small satellite propulsion system. Also Lecturer Inamori will talk about Japanese small satellites. For LGS students, this seminar will definitely be a good chance to share the experience of Chubu-Sat mission, and to exchange opinions on future space utilization.
